SNK Playmore Confirms King Of Fighters XII at AM show

SNK Playmore announced that King Of The FIghters XII will be making its playable debut at the 46th annual AM show in Japan Sept. 18th-20th. The game is developed for the Taito Type X 2 board and will be displayed by AMI. It is a reinvention of the "KOF" series with a rebalanced gameplay system and redrawn sprites that take full advantage of the next gen arcade platform.

Tekken 6 "Blood Line Rebellion" hits arcades later this year!

Similiar to its predecessor Tekken 6 will be receiving a update as well. Bandai Namco announded Tekken 6 "Blood Line Rebellion" will be heading to Arcades later this year in Japan. More news will be revealed at the Fall AM show and at the Tokyo Game Show in October.

Bomberman Blast announced for Wiiware and Wii

Hudson Soft announced Bomberman Blast an upcoming action game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Wii and WiiWare. It is part of the Bomberman series.

The game will be released as two versions: a fully featured retail release and a downloadable, lower priced WiiWare version with less content. The WiiWare version of Bomberman Blast only contains the traditional battle mode, while the retail release also includes a story mode and other additional features.The retail version will be released in Japan on September 25, 2008, while the WiiWare version is slated for an Autumn 2008 release date. The retail version will be released soon after the WiiWare version.

Cave brings Death Smiles home on Xbox 360

Cave announced in Famitsu Weekly that the Shmup Death Smiles will see a console release on the Xbox 360 in Japan early next year. Its is notable for is aesthetic style, featuring heavy occult and gothic influences. It is only the second Cave shoot 'em up to be played using a horizontally-oriented monitor. The first being the mighty Pro Gear No Arashi. The game marks the return of Joker Jun who previously did illustrations for Dodonpachi and ESP Ra.De. Sega announced a new title in the House Of The Dead series. Headstrong games will be developing OVERKILL for the Nintendo Wii. The game is scheduled to hit sometime in early 2009. Agent G makes a return to the series accompanied by a new character, Detective Washington.

Wii Music has a date in Japan

Nintendo has announced that they will be releasing Wii Music in Japan Ocotober 16th. The USA date cannot be far behind. There are over and 60 instruments and Over 50 selections are included songs such as the Super Mario Theme ,F Zero and other popular Nintendo Titles.

Space Invaders Get Even on WiiWare

Taito Announced Space Invaders Get Even a sequel to the popular arcade shooting series on WiiWare. The game will sell for 500 Wii points.The game will be released later this month and it will feature a variety of ships such as the UFO classic from Space invaders, Silver Hawk from Darius, and R Gray 1 from the Layer Section/Rayforce series AKA Galactic Attack in the States.

For those who forgot 1942 Joint Strike is out on PSN and XBLA

Most people might not know this but 1942 Joint Strike was released on XBLA and PSN in July. If you have not purchased this yet I strongly suggest you do as it is one of the finest original shmups on either console. The game is $10 and features online multi player. The graphics are on par with the even the best Dreamcast shooter.

Ubisoft announced they will be publishing the Sequel to Armored Core 4 "Armored Core For Answer" in the USA on Sept 9th for the Ps3 and Xbox 360.

Arika to release Ketsui Death Label this Fall

Arika is set to replase Ketsui Death Label to the Nintendo DS October 23rd this year. The game will feature boss attack and boss rush modes. Also included i a superplay DVD. Expect to shoot it up this fall!

SNK to Release Samurai Shodown Anthology on Ps2 and Wii

SNK will be releasing Samurai Shodown Anthology on Wii and Ps2 later this year. This collection features Samurai Shodown 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Tenkaichi on one DVD. Another great Neo Geo collection hitting the states later this year.

Bionic Commando Rearmed releases this week

Capcom will release the game Bionic Commando Rearmed on XBLA august 13th and PSN august 14th. The Ps3 version will support Remote play and trophies. The Xbox live version will feature achevements. They will be selling for $10 each with a PC version following at $15.

Guilty Gear 2 Overture getting USA release

Aksys games is picking up the torch and running away with it. They will be releasing the Action/Rpg sequel to the Guilty Gear fighting series "Guilty Gear 2 Overture" september 30th. There will be tweaks to the gameplay system and they promised to fix the bugs that arose in the Japanese version.

Dead Rising to the Wii in 2009

Capcom will be bringing Xbox 360 hit Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop to the Wii Winter 2009. The game will feature a revamped gameplay system modeled after Resident Evil 4. The camera will also be fixed behind the shoulder. Other improvements will be implemented to the gameplay and save systems.

Mario Super Sluggers Ships this month on Wii

Nintendo will release the game Mario Super Sluggers on Nintendo Wii August 25th. This will feature the same basic gameplay engine from Wii Sports expanded upon. Game will include online play as well.

Battle Fantasia shipping to the USA later this year

Publisher Aksysgames will be releasing the Arc System Works developed fighter Battle Fantasia to the USA Xbox 360 September 16th. The game will feature story mode, Arcade mode, and Online play.

Konami announced the will be Wii-making Gradius on Wiiware with "Gradius Rebirth". The game is scheduled to be released later this year. It will include extras such as enhanced graphics and modes.

UFO Interactive will be bringing the Mile-Stone Ultimate Shooting collection to the states here later this year. This collection featuring Karous, Radilgy and Chaos Field. Probally will be a budget title when it drops on Wii later this year.

Rambo shoots his way to arcade with help from Segata Sanshiro

Rambo will be making a appearance in the Arcade soon after the new Movie. Sega held a press event showing off the game with former Saturn mascot Segata Sanshiro. The game will run on the Lindbergh system and will be widely availible for international release later this year. I am hoping for a home port at some point.

Resident Evil 5 ships next year on Ps3 and Xbox 360

Capcom will be releasing the sequel in the survivor horror series Resident Evil 5 on Xbox 360/Ps3 March 13th 2009 worldwide. The game will feature online co op play and retains the same gameplay engine as the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4. The game is set in Africa and features Chris Redfield returning as our lead protagonist and a new character Sheva Alomar who works for Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance and will be assisting Chris. New VS fighter Tatsunoko Vs Capcom

Capcom announced a new sequel in the VS Series fighting game Tatsunoko Vs Capcom:Cross Generation of Heroes. The game will be released in december and feature players like Ryu, Chun Li, Alex, And Morrigan from the Capcom side and Casshan, Tekkaman, And Gold Lightan from the Tatsunoko animated and comic series. Wario Shakes his way onto Wii

Wario Land Shake It! will be coming to the Nintendo Wii on September 22nd. The game features 2d gameplay and Wiimote controls. Wario can perform many moves based on how you interact with the controller. Trailer Below

Square Enix announced the Cult Classic RPG Chrono Trigger will be getting a Nintendo DS port this winter. The game will retain its original 2d graphics and will support wifi multiplayer and other modes to be included.

D3Publisher announced Onechanbara: Samurai Bikini Squad will be coming to the Xbox 360 in the USA later this year. The game will feature Story Mode, Free Play Mode, Survival Mode,Quest Mode, and co-op multiplayer.

Sega has announced the new street racing game from AM2 R-Tuned will be released to the Arcade in Japan in December.

D3 Publisher Releasing Bangai O Spirits on DS in USA

D3 Publisher has announced plans to bring Bangai O Spirits to the Nintendo DS. This is the sequel to the original Bangai O on N64/Dreamcast. The game is developed by Treasure and will be released on August 12th.

Old School Lives with Megaman 9 on PSN,XBLA, and Wiiware

Capcom will be releasing Megaman 9 a new sequel to the original Megaman series. The graphics however are a throw back to the old NES titles. A mock box art was even made (pictured). The game is scheduled to be downloaded sometime in september on PSN, XBLA, and WiiWare.

Publisher Success will be releasing Raiden IV to the Xbox 360 in Japan on Sept 11th. This will include 2 new stages , Boss Rush Mode, new ships and the soundtrack with the first printing.

Developer Tozai will be bringing a XBLA version of R-Type called "R-Type Dimensions" to be published by Microsoft at a undisclosed date. Good to see old school shooting is going to get a chance on XBLA and that the ps2 version was not FINAL after all.

Trigger Heart Exelica being released on Ps2

The Naomi shmup Trigger Heart Exelica will be getting a 3rd release on home consoles. Joining its Dreamcast and Xbox 360 siblings the Playstation 2 version completes the circle with an "Enhanced" game which includes a bonus Exelica Nendroid figure. The game is scheduled to ship in the Winter. The LE version will be shipping at a rediculous $130.

Capcom fighter Fate Unlimited Codes coming to Ps2

Later on this year the 2.5d fighter Fate Unlimited codes will be coming out on Ps2. The game will ship on december 18th 2008. The game will also be released in a Limited Edition version. The SP-Box edition of Fate/Unlimited Codes for the Playstation 2 will ship with a limited edition Saber Lily Figma figure that's being produced by Max Factory exclusively for the game.
